Today is the first day of Spring so it is time to burn your socks. In Maryland nautical tradition at sunset on the first day of spring it is traditional to take off your socks and toss them in a fire at sunset.... not to wear socks again until fall. http://www.whatsupmag.com/mar05/arts.shtml
